With group of cyclist maniacs we flew to Kathmandu on October 31, 2014. After we get a visa we drove to the hostel where we left our bikes. The next day we went develop the necessary permits to enter the Annapurna Circuit trail – the main goal of our expedition. Driving through the streets of Kathmandu pass hundreds of constantly honking scooters and cars. Initially, it is difficult to find in the left-hand, rather chaotic traffic, but after a while we’re here and we handle the necessary papers – the cost of $ 20, payable in local rupees. On the afternoon of the same day we bought maps and tourist gas cylinders, extra clothes etc. Armed to the teeth in the evening we sat down to plan the way you get to the beginning of the route, ie. to the village Besisahar. We took into account two options – the main road and theoretically easier, but at the same time it was possible to come across traffic and it was associated with a lower folklore and breathing black smoke coming out of old cars on the roads. Finally we choose a small road running through a small villages.
